Runnymede and The Grove

We have been out and about again,  keeping ourselves updated on all the best hotels for your next meeting or event.

Back in September we all went down to the Runnymede on Thames Hotel, where they have fantastic meeting and event space. In their dedicated Event wing, which has its own entrance, all the meeting rooms open on to a central lounge area. There is a separate games chillout room with table football and arcade games as well as tea and coffee making facilities.  All the rooms are a great size, well equipped and with natural daylight and many of the rooms are flexible with moveable partitions to cater for your specific event.

For something a little different, the Riverside Suite, pictured above, is fantastic. It divides into 3 sections and with a wall of patio doors opening out onto the terrace right next to the canal, it is a great room for team building and evening events. You can even incorporate some water activities into your day too, with boat hire just up the canal.

We got to sample the food too, and their lunch offering is brilliant, with a large buffet of healthy, delicious food; hot fish and meat offerings alongside a range of different salads, breads and soup, and desserts of course! There was something for everyone, and it was all tasty, healthy food. There is also a Spa onsite with a well equipped gym, with windows and patio doors looking out over the canal.

After spending the night at Runnymede, we went on to The Grove Hotel, an impressive country house hotel set in 300 acres of grounds and with a championship Golf Course on site, only 18 miles from Central London. Within the hotel there are 26 mansion house rooms, each themed differently and have a luxurious feel, then there are 191 bedrooms in the West Wing. There are three restaurants onsite and a dedicated Meetings and Events entrance to the 23 meeting rooms.

The Grove is a fantastic venue for any team building or family fun day activities, with bike hire onsite and the walled garden, which can be hired privately, is a secluded area with an outdoor swimming pool, ‘sandy beach’ with volleyball, giant chess and croquet lawn.
