QMH Group Update – March 2014

A QMH Group Representative visited the E&V Offices this month … giving us a full update on Group News and Refurbishments:

Sales:

  • Holiday Inn Newcastle Seaton Burn – this property has now been sold
  • Holiday Inn Manchester Airport property has been sold – now Britannia Airport Hotel, Manchester Airport
  • Formerly Best Western Gatwick Moat House Hotel has been sold, now Britannia Airport Inn Gatwick

 

  • £11.4 million has been raised on the sales – so all is being put into refurbishment, the Company is up for sale again. However, it’s one group of investors selling to another so likely there won’t be many real changes
  • Holiday Inn Shepperton was flooded – so money will be spent on this property
  • Reading Mill House was slightly affected by flooding – only the Pub section not yet re-opened
  • Holiday Inn Stratford should be changing to a Crowne Plaza after major refurbishment of all public areas, with bedroom refurbishment to follow
  • Crowne Plaza Chester has undergone refurbishment. This venue now has a large meeting space and can seat 650 guests
  • Holiday Inn Peterborough is not like a Holiday Inn at all.. this is a very modern property with some quirky interior
  • Holiday Inn Glasgow has undergone recent refurbishment in all public areas and Restaurant
