All the E&V Team recently went to London – visiting the range of venues of IHG to keep uptodate with the new Brand Standards within Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Indigo Hotels.
– HOLIDAY INN KENSINGTON FORUM
Large hotel with over 900 bedrooms and a selection of meeting rooms ALL with natural daylight. Very convenient for Gloucester Road Tube.
– CROWNE PLAZA KENSINGTON 4*
Located just in opposite the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum. Smaller hotel with a boutique feel.
The Thai Chef really knows how to cook with a fusion of Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian food creating a really individual meal experience.
The hotel has been recently re-furbished in a very clever way – giving a highly stylish, lumious and trendy hotel, with a nice garden available to all guests.
– HOLIDAY INN BLOOMSBURY 3*
A standard of the brand, excellent location and with excellent “Academy” branded conference space. A really good value property.
– CROWNE PLAZA LONDON CITY 4*
Conveniently located in front of the tube station and again a really unexpected WOW when you walk through the doors. The Atrium lets in a lot of light and gives a sensation of space with clever lighting and sculpures. Stylish bedrooms in shades of grey and purple. The hotel has two restaurants: one Italian, awarded one AA Rosette, and one Chinese, where you can learn to cook your own Dim Sum.
– HOTEL INDIGO PADDINGTON 4*
Hotel high in colours, and themed with the mathematical Fibonacci theory that we unfortunately still don’t understand! but to do with repeats of patterns in shapes and swirls. Located very close to Paddington and with a restaurant and nice pavement cafe this fits the London lifestyle perfectly. Lots of pictures of London with floor to ceiling artwork.
The team then went for a trip into the LONDON EYE, and cured the fear of heights with some Champagne.
They then visited the MONTAGUE ON THE GARDENS 4* for a little treat – Pimms and Afternoon Tea in this elegant typically English Hotel.
